Nutrients/Active Ingredients:   Calcium, vitamin A, inositol (vitamin B8), pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), silicon, and phosphorous.   Can mimic  a estrogenic mechanism.

Uses by system and symptom:

  • Male/Female Reproductive: Often used to for hot flashes, contracting uterus, balance hormones, and menopause.  

Common doses and preparation:   Dried root, tincture, extract, syrup, or decoction tea.  Tea recipes often call for 1/2 teaspoon powder.

Side Effects/Precautions/Interactions: Pregnancy, breast feeding, breast/uterine cancer, or any female uterine condition like fibroids, endometriosis.  Kidney transplant, liver disease, or Protein S Deficiency.
