Contains iron, iodine, copper, selenium, sulfur, potassium, and vitamins B 3, B12, A (Beta Carotene), E, and C.
Uses by system and symptom:
- Cardiovascular: Used to remove toxins from the blood
- Digestive/Gastrointestinal: Often used to prevent gum disease and gingivitis.
- Integumentary/Skin: Used to treat wounds, heal skin, acne, boils, eczema, and psoriasis.
- Respiratory: Has been used for asthma, bronchitis, respiratory infections, and sinusitis.
- Urinary: Used to help with urinary tract infections (UTI).
- Immune: Commonly used as an immune booster and detoxification. Thought to help with WBC production (T cells) and act as a natural antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral herb. Has been used to reduce fevers.

Common doses and preparation: Tastes sweet/sour. Roots, flowers, and leaves used. Taken as a tincture or powdered root most commonly. Leaves and petals are used to make infusions and steeped 15-20 minutes. Roots are used for decoctions for about 30 to 40 minutes. General amount one to two teaspoon per one cup of water. We do not recommend to use long term.
