Nutrients/Active Ingredients: Contains saponins (antifungal), flavonoids (anti-inflammatory and antioxidant), vitamin B12, D,E, magnesium, copper, selenium, and zinc.

  • Urinary: Used for urinary tract (chronic), bladder infections, and to prevent kidney stones. Has diuretic properties.

Common doses and preparation:  Used as a tea, tincture, decoction, wash, and salve. As a tea the general recipe is 1-2 TBSP per one cup water. Infusion about 1 cup to 12 ounces of water (You can also make an oil infusion).  Tincture is made with alcohol.

Side Effects/Precautions/Interactions: Not recommended for acute conditions. It is a diuretic caution if you are taking a diuretic or have a chronic kidney disorder.  Do not take if you are allergic to this family of herbs or if you are pregnant or nursing.
