Lavandin is often called French Lavender. It is a natural hybrid of English Lavender and Spike Lavender. Commonly used in perfumes and cosmetics. The benefits are the same as lavender but it has a higher camphor content and produces more oil. Great to make your own aromas.

Uses by system and symptom:
- Cardiovascular: May lower your blood pressure.
- Digestive/Gastrointestinal: has been used to treat canker sores, gas, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, and anorexia.
- Integumentary/Skin: Has been used to treat insect bites and burns.
- Skeletal: Oil has been used to help with arthritis pain.
- Muscular: used as a muscle rub for relaxation.
- Nervous: Has been used to treat headaches, mild depression, insomnia, and anxiety.
- Immune: Used as an anti-fungal and disinfectant.

- Other: Has been used with tea tree oil for lice treatment.
Common doses and preparation: Used in soaps, perfumes, cosmetics, aromatherapy, as a tea, oil, tincture. Can be added to foods with recipes using floral flavor. Tastes peppery and floral. Often combined with fruit flavor.
Side Effects/Precautions/Interactions: Safety not established with use in pregnancy, lactation, and children. Not recommended if you are taking medicines for high blood pressure or sedatives.
